The Venom Positioning System (abbreviation V.P.S) is a device Peter Parker created to help him locate the venom symbiote in Venom. His only other use of the device was for tracking down the Carnage symbiote in the Back in the New York Groove episode of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.

Trivia[]

  • The abbreviation is an obvious pun on a G.P.S (Global Positioning System).
  • Despite fixing the device in between the events of Venom and Back in the New York Groove, Peter never used it to locate Venom in Venom Returns or the symbiote in Web of Venom.
    • A possible explanation is that the frequency Peter use to track the symbiote was different after the Space Administration experimented on it and while it was bonded to Eddie Brock.
