"Venom" is the thirteenth episode of Marvel's Spider-Man. It first aired on October 21, 2017.

After the symbiote escapes Avengers Compound, Spider-Man must find a way to stop it and discover the identify of the new host.
Plot[]
The V-252 mysteriously finds a new host although it's currently locked up in Avengers Compound. Spider-Man finds that Venom is not setting off his Spider-Senses. At the same time, Peter Parker tutors Flash Thompson in his science exam overseen by his teacher Sal Salerno. Afterwards during the football game at Midtown High School's rival Harry S. Truman High led by its quarterback Kevin Wyatt, Spider-Man finds that the V-252 had attached itself to Flash Thompson during the Stark Expo. Spider-Man works to stop the Venom symbiote's rampage even when the other football players get infected.

- Flash becoming Venom is a reference to his time as the heroic, but occasionally would slip into fits of rage, Agent Venom from the main Marvel Comics
- Many fans assumed this to be foreshadowing to him becoming Agent Venom in the show.
- Spider-Man fighting Venom on a football field is similar to their first battle in both the Ultimate Spider-Man comic books and video game.
- At the end of the episode, the samples of the V-252 collected by Max were given to the Space Administration. This would eventually lead to Eddie Brock becoming the shows second Venom.
- There's a bit of confusion as to whether or not Flash was bonded to the original Venom symbiote or pieces of it from when he helped Iron Man remove it from Spider-Man. Many sources, including The Road to Maximum Venom, go with the symbiote having escaped Avengers Compound while in the episode Peter is shown watching surveillance footage where pieces of the symbiote stick to Flash.
