Vengeance of Venom is the fifty-fifth episode of Marvel's Spider-Man and the third episode of season 3 Maximum Venom.

Synopsis

Symbiotes from space send an advance hunting party to Earth to take out all of the superheroes; Spider-Man must team up with Marc Spector and Max Modell to save the planet.

Plot

In the midst of a symbiote attack on New York, Spider-Man must convince Marc Spector, a survivalist who has recently given up his secret hero identity as Moon Knight, to help him defend the city.

Part 1

When symbiotes from space send an advanced hunting party to Earth to take out all of the superheroes, Spider-Man must find a way to stop these villains before they clear the planet for a complete symbiote invasion!

Part 2

In the midst of a symbiote invasion of New York, Spider-Man must work with a cynical survivalist named Marc Spector (who, due to personal tragedy, has given up his old hero identity as MOON KNIGHT) to find Max Modell and create an "ANTIVENOM" that could save the planet.

• All of Spider-Man's allies, except for Moon Knight, become venomized in this episode.
  • This episode featured the largest amount of heroes seen in a single episode.
  • This episode was the beginning and the end of the symbiote war.
• Anya's outfit is changed to match the one seen in promotional artwork.
• This episode has the largest cast list than the other episodes.
  • Each characters Venomized form was voiced by their respective actor.
• This will be the first appearance of Moon Knight in the series.
  • Ironically, Moon Knight also appeared in the video game Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, which has a similar premise to Maximum Venom.
• According to Venomized Doctor Strange, Venom died during his battle with Spider-Man in Web of Venom.
  • In Maximum Venom, it was revealed that Venom was alive and hiding within Max's bloodstream to heal itself.
• Prowler makes a cameo appearance in this episode as an Avengers contact and fighting against the Venomized Avengers.
• Black Widow, Ms. Marvel, and Hulk (Bruce Banner) are the only Avengers who Spider-Man has worked with previously to not appear in the episode.
• Medusa and Winter Soldier make cameo appearances in this episode fighting against the Venomized Avengers.
• Many of the Venomized Heroes do not match their promotional artwork or they match it with a slightly altered design.
