"The Living Brain" is the thirty eighth episode of Marvel's Spider-Man. It first aired on August 13, 2018. It is the conclusion of a two-part episode.

Spider-Man must fight his way through the Super-Villain Holding Facility to challenge The Living Brain, the robot body that is housing the mind of Doctor Octopus.
Plot[]
Now that Living Brain is the host of Doctor Octopus' mind, he uses the energy-focal device he made at Oscorp to begin making his enemies suffer. While being held in a Supervillain Holding Facility, The Cellar, Spider-Man must work with Police Chief Watanabe to get through the security features of the Supervillain Holding Facility when Living Brain threatens to destroy it. They must also fight past Beetle and Electro.

- The Living Brain and The Day Without Spider-Man are infamously known for having the largest gap between airings. The show went on a years hiatus after The Living Brain aired.
- This led many to speculate that the show had been cancelled despite cast and crew confirming other wise.
- Rumors of Marvel Animation shutting down added to the speculation.
- It is possible that the hiatus was caused by the change in format for season 3.
- When the lightening flashed between Spider-Man and Doc-Ock at the episodes end, Spider-Man's mask resembled the original one worn by the Superior Spider-Man.
