The Bloodgem accidentally reawakens Gwen Stacy's dormant spider-powers, turning her into Ghost Spider!
Plot[]
With Spider-Man gone missing, Kid Arachnid and Spider-Girl have been taking his place in stopping criminals and fighting super villains. Horizon is donated the blood gem by the Space Administration, and Scorpion is stealing the object for the Tinkerer. The mystical properties of the gem reawaken Gwen's dormant spider-powers.

- The series went on a year hiatus before this episode aired.
- The hiatus led many fans and websites to believe the show was silently cancelled despite cast and crew confirming other wise.
- The reason for the long hiatus may have been due to the change in format of Season 3.
- This is the first time in any Spider-Man animated series to have Peter Parker not make a single appearance in an episode.
- Gwen's superhero name being called Ghost-Spider is most likely due to Marvel Rising, and Marvel Comics trying to give her comic book counter-pot a name other than Spider-Woman.
- The purse snatcher Miles and Anya chase at the beginning of the episode is the same one Gwen apprehended in Spider-Island Part Two.
