This page contains policies as to which users of the Marvel's Spider-Man Animated Series Wiki are expected to abide.

In accordance to COPPA, users under the age of 13 are not allowed to be editors on the wiki.
- If a user is revealed to be underage, please calmly report it with evidence to an administrator.
Observe civil behavior; do not argue, insult, threaten, harass, purposefully offend, or disrespect users or their opinions.
No bullying of any kind. This includes the content of the above point and other things such as mockery, trolling, ostracizing, etc.
- This also includes hate speech, the use of ethnic slurs, or any other form of discrimination or racism.
- Users found to bully others, even outside the wiki, are subject to banning.
No swearing. Words such as damn or hell are acceptable. If you are unsure about what is acceptable or not, feel free to ask a staff member if a word is allowed or not.
- Acronyms and abbreviations that are typically known to contain any of the prohibited profanity are not allowed. To the the Marvel's Spider-Man Wiki staff, it is the same as saying the entire word.
Do post unofficial links to any episode. This does not support the show in any way.
Do not impersonate or pose as a Marvel's Spider-Man Animated Series Wiki Administrator or another Marvel's Spider-Man Animated Series Wiki staff member.
Do not impersonate or pose as a member of the series' crew or cast.
Respect the staff when they ask you to stop doing something harmful or disruptive.

Editing

Follow the general regulations as seen above.
If you put any questionable information on the wiki, make sure that you have a reliable source for it.
- This source should be added as a reference.
Do not engage in, support, or encourage vandalism, on this or any other wiki.
Do not make non-constructive edits, including "edit boosting" or "fluff editing" whereby users make meaningless, small edits to increase their edit count.
Do not edit war, such as repeatedly undoing another user's edits unless they are blatant vandalism.
Do not edit another user's profile without their explicit permission, regardless of intentions.
- The only exception is when you are undoing the edits of a user who has broken this rule.

Fan-made information

The Marvel's Spider-Man Animated Series Wiki is not a fanon-wiki. This means that articles and pages about fan characters, fan art, fanfiction, etc... should not be created. They can be discussed by users on their profile talk pages and user blogs.

Fan images like fan art are only to be in the Category: User images.
This also includes any edited official artwork or screenshots from the show. For example this is a screenshot edited to see what the show would look like with shading and this is official artwork edited to match Spider-Man's suit in season 3. Images like these need to be kept out of image galleries.
Shippings are okay for discussion, but unless we see characters develop a relationship in the show they are not canon. For example, Uncle Ben and Aunt May were in a relationship; Peter and Harry & Gwen and Anya have a strong friendship.
Do not make canon pages for characters you want to see in the show or a random background character you think might become canon later on. For example:

This is not Cindy Moon.

False Information Regarding A Fourth Season

It's understandable that many of us want Marvel's Spider-Man to have another season and see the adventures of Spider-Man, Spider-Girl, Ghost-Spider, and Miles continue with how Maximum Venom ended the series with the group starting up W.E.B (Worldwide Engineering Brigade).

However, a fourth season has not been confirmed by Marvel, Disney, Kevin Burke, Chris "Doc" Wyatt, or anyone else who has worked on the show or at Marvel Animation. The future isn't set in stone. Marvel and Disney could announce a fourth season or spiritual successor to Marvel's Spider-Man someday, but until they do please respect other fans and those who have worked on the series by not spreading rumors.

Videos

We encourage everyone to post commercials, trailers, interviews, and other related footage of Marvel's Spider-Man to the Wikia. However, full episode links from youtube or any other website are NOT allowed to be shared. We understand that some users do not have a way to watch the series, but piracy is not tolerated and does not support the show in any way. If a full episode link is shared from the official youtube channel of MARVEL HQ or Disney XD, then it is allowed to be posted to the Wikia.

Videos that are unrelated to Marvel's Spider-Man should be posted on the users talk pages. and blogs.
Videos from other series that this Spider-Man and his related characters have appeared in are allowed.
Trailers should be placed at the bottom of an episode page and the episodes gallery using the following code: <gallery></gallery>
No content that is 18+.

Character pages

We understand that every character is not liked by every fan of the show, but do not add your personal opinion of the characters in the articles.
The show isn't the Marvel Comics canon, so there will have to be some research done on characters that appear in the show because of the lack of certain mythos from the comics. (Ex: if both of Anya Corazon's parents are still alive. If Molten Man is Mark Raxton or not.
- Some articles on the Marvel Database might not be correct, for they may give a name to certain characters, like Molten Man, or leave them as their villain name, like Electro.
- Mutants, in the sense of X-Men characters, do not exist in this series. The first and second seasons of the show were created during the time Marvel and Disney lacked the rights to the X-Men and unless they are mentioned in season three they do not exist in Marvel's Spider-Man.
- This also includes the Fantastic Four.
Do not add multiple images under the gallery heading on articles. Eventually, each page that requires it will have its own gallery page like this: Season 2/Gallery.

Cast and Crew

The voice actors, writers, animators, and artists have expressed multiple times that they are putting their heart and soul into creating a show for everyone of all ages to enjoy. Even if you don't like this person voicing that character or this writer working on the series do not harass them on other websites or vandalize their pages.

As with fellow user's pages do not edit the pages of voice actors with inappropriate content or language.
Do not spread false information about this actor, actress, or crew member.
In the case, something is revealed about anyone who has worked on Marvel's Spider-Man it is okay to discuss it, but do not add it as trivia or any other kind of information to their pages because it is irrelevant to the wikia.
