Plot
Part 1
When Spider-Man and his allies go to track down the missing and dangerous Lizard, they discover that the vicious Venom has returned to seek revenge on the planet Earth!
Part 2
Spider-Man must travel through a portal to a distant planetoid that has a symbiote-based environment in order to stop his greatest nemesis Venom, save his mentor Max Modell, and protect the planet Earth from complete destruction.

- This episode is the series finale of Marvel's Spider-Man, and the last production by Marvel Animation.
- Despite being announced before the season premiered because of their guest voice actors, Scream, Scorn, and Mania only appear in the finale of Maximum Venom, aside from their appearance in the The Secret History of Venom web video.
- Peter and Mary Jane, Miles and Anya, and Gwen and Grady go the Horizon's dance together.
- Peter mentions that the dance was his first date. Mary Jane mentions that the symbiotes attack was a weird, implying she's been on a date before.
- Anya's necklace being able to change the appearance of her dress may have been a reference to Princess Shuri from Avengers: Black Panther's Quest, who also built a necklace with the same function, though Shuri's necklace could change an outfits entire appearance and not just color.
- Peter appears to have taken Miles' advice from Amazing Friends and has planned for his future.
- Peter and MJ agree to a second date near the end of the episode and it is implied that they might start dating.
- The W.E.B (Worldwide Engineering Brigade) is named after an attraction that is part of the Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure ride that is that is being developed for Disney California Adventure Park as part of their Avengers Campuses section.
- It may also be a reference to W.E.B of Spider-Man, a comic book that is also based on the ride that was scheduled for a Summer 2020 release, but was pushed back to December 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. W.E.B of Spider-Man is written by series created and former showrunner and supervising producer Kevin Shinick.
- Mania and Scorn's host are scene briefly after Max destroys the Symbiote Seed.
- Scream, Scorn, and Mania are never called by name during the episode, only being referred as sisters by Venom. The only way viewers would know who they are is by viewing the cast list.
- Venom reveals that he survived his battle with Spider-Man in Web of Venom by hiding and recuperating within Max's bloodstream through a parasitic relationship.
- The World Killer symbiote dragon is based on the Grendel, a horde of symbiote dragons from Donny Cates' Venom comics.
- Planet Klyntar appears to be based on it's appearance from the mobile game Spider-Man Unlimited.
- Aunt May doesn't appear in the episode. But she is mentioned on 2 occasions, when Peter talks about not being able to wear a bowtie. And when Miles wants to leave Peter and MJ alone.
