"Woah, where's the fire tiger?"
-Mary Jane, Amazing Friends
Mary Jane Watson is a student from Midtown High School. She is the mascot of the school's football team, the Midtown Tigers, wearing a tiger mascot costume.
In season 3, Mary Jane's appearance from season 1 was retconned, for she and Peter meet for the first time in the episode Amazing Friends after she and her aunt were invited to the Parker Household my May Parker.
Appearance
Mary Jane is a green-eyed Caucasian teenage girl with reddish-brown (auburn) hair in a ponytail. She wears a sports jacket that is the color of the Midtown Tigers Football team and black pants.
Personality
Mary Jane has an easy-going personality. Despite Peter's awkward behavior when being introduced to him, she didn't call out his weird actions and was having a good time much to May's surprise.
She also appears to be a fan of basketball, for she is seen playing it most of the time she meets up with Peter.
History
Relationship
Peter Parker
Season 1 (retconned)
Mary Jane was a fellow student of Peter's at Midtown High, and she was the Midtown Tiger's mascot.
Season 3
Despite Peter's behavior when the two first met, Mary Jane wasn't disturbed or confused by it unlike others Peter has met over the years. In a way, this is similar to Miles Morales' first opinion of Peter.
In Spider-Man Unmasked, Mary Jane helped Peter to realize that he may not have explained his reasons for keeping his secret (being Spider-Man) to Gwen and Anya in the way he meant too.
In Maximum Venom, when Peter tells Mary Jane that he needs a date for Horizon High's dance, and jokes that he'll never find a date, she says that she would go with to the dance. When Venom was revealed to have been possessing Max Modell, Mary Jane tried to get Peter to leave Horizon with her, and she ended up surprised by his bravery of wanting to protect the school and his classmates. Before evacuating herself, she gives him a kiss on the cheek for good luck.
Later on, Mary Jane and Peter have the dance that was interrupted at the party. Mary Jane said that despite alien invasion, it was still a nice. Her optimism and reminding that they had a future to look forward to made Peter realize that he wasn't ready to leave his friends and family behind to become an Avenger. Mary Jane was confused on what Peter meant by her being right (about their whole future being ahead of them) and was caught by surprise when Peter gave her a kiss on the cheek, making her blush just as he did when first seeing her in Amazing Friends.
It's possible that Peter and Mary Jane become a couple after the events of Maximum Venom.
May Parker
May and Mary Jane get along well, most likely due to May being a friend of Mary Jane's aunt Anna May Watson.
Flash Thompson
Season 1 (retconned)
Mary Jane and Flash appeared to be good friends, the latter cheering for Mary Jane to get the crowd excited for Midtown High's football game against Truman High.
Abilities
Proficient Basketball Player
Mary Jane has been shown to be good at Basketball from consistent practice.
