"There was a time I would have done anything for your approval, dad... but that time passed. You might be my blood, but you're not my father!"
-Harry, Generations
Harold "Harry" Osborn is one of the main characters in the first season of Marvel's Spider-Man, a former student at Midtown High, Horizon High, and Osborn Academy; as well as, being the son of Norman Osborn. He took up the superhero identity of Hobgoblin until having to fill his father's shoes as the head of Oscorp. During season two and season three, Harry appears less frequently due to his responsibilities as the current owner of Oscorp.
Appearance
Harry is a Caucasian male with black hair and gray eyes.
As the Hobgoblin, Harry wears a suit of armor with an orange hoodie, along with parts of the armor being an orange color. In Vengeance of Venom, the eyes of the mask are now green, while before then they were red. This change is most likely to make the Hobgoblin appear more heroic.
Personality
While Harry is kind to those close to him like friends and his father, he can't stand it when being told what he can and cannot do with his creations.
During Hobgoblin Part Two, Harry believed the experiments he tested on himself to heal his father from Peter's radioactive blood was causing him to act bipolar towards Peter as Spider-Man. This turned out to be a ploy from Norman in order to make Harry be New York City's hero and Spider-Man the villain.
History
Relationships
Norman Osborn
Harry has always had the utmost respect for his father, wanting to continue the Osborn legacy. However, he also wanted to make a name for himself which clashed with his father's goal of Harry achieving his views of greatness. Yet, two could always agree on one thing: Spider-Man is a menace to the city.
When Norman ordered Harry to finish off Spider-Man, he couldn't, for Harry knew Peter was Spider-Man at that time and would never kill his best friend. Norman deemed him a failure, and despite that Harry still mourned his death and continued to run Oscorp for him.
In Goblin War Part 2 Harry is happy when he thinks his father is alive again, only to be devastated when he finds out the Goblin King is really Adrian Toomes. This suggests despite the events of Hobgoblin 1&2, he still loves his dad and misses him, even if they didn't always get along.
In Generations, Peter called Harry for back up to take down Norman as the Dark Goblin. Even as literal monster, Norman tried to manipulate Harry to side with him just as he did back in Hobgoblin Part Two. This time Harry didn't even hesitate to side with Spider-Man; Peter Parker, his best friend. Having had finally sees the man is no longer a father he once knew, Harry eagerly plan to take responsibility to atone his father's crime and ensuring his arrest, in addition to a still functional recording drone that has the evidence of Norman's crime which Miles found, clearing Peter and Max's name.
Peter Parker
Peter is Harry's best friend, having known each other since they were little kids. They always had each other's back, even when Peter would leave suddenly to carry out his Great Responsibility, which is the only thing that has wounded their friendship.
After Spider-Island, Harry was frustrated at Peter for blowing up the Oz Academy to spread the Spider-Virus cure, even though it cured the city. However, after the two defeated Doc-Ock and his Sinister Six as Spider-Man and Hobgoblin the two's friendship was strong again.
Max Modell
Harry holds a lot of respect for Max, being that he was his former instructor and headmaster at Horizon High. Even when Max had to begrudgingly expel Harry from Horizon when Spencer Smythe showed proof of Harry sabotaging Anya Corazon's Vibranium Reactor, he held no resentment toward Max, even coming to his aid in Stark Expo during Ghost's attack.
Miles Morales
Miles is one of Harry's friends from Horizon High. As the second Spider-Man, Harry hated Miles as much as he hated the original Spider-Man, but after realizing the original Spider-Man was Peter Parker and after the two rekindled their friendship it appears that Harry began to except the second Spider-Man.
It appears that Harry figured out Miles was Spy-D/the second Spider-Man after the end of the Goblin Wars.
Anya Corazon
Anya is one of Harry's friends from Horizon. The two had a difference of opinion of Spider-Man at the beginning of the series, where Anya told Harry that they should be grateful of Spider-Man saving their life from the Spider-Slayer in Horizon High Part Two.
It appears that Harry figured out Anya was Spider-Girl sometime after the end of the Goblin Wars.
Gwen Stacy
Gwen is another one of Harry's friends from Horizon. While Gwen often didn't consider Spider-Man's method of heroism to be the most casual approach, she wasn't spiteful toward the wallcrawler as Harry. During Spider-Island Part One, Gwen called Harry when he blamed Spider-Man for everything that has happened to them, including Norman's alleged death in The Rise of Doctor Octopus Part Four when Harry saw Spider-Man do everything in his power to save Norman.
Otto Octavius
After Otto betrayed Norman, they became enemies. Otto planned to use Harry in his Sinister Six, but he escaped with Gwen before that could happen.
Harry still held resentment towards Otto as seen during the Goblin Wars, and Otto claimed that the Osborn couldn't be trusted, just like his father Norman. In the aftermath Harry witness Otto's heroic sacrifice to stop Toomes' Goblin Nation, finally remorse for his fallen ally. Harry attends Otto's funeral to represent a redemption of Osborn's name as well.
Abilities
Genius-Intellect
Swordsmanship
Harry has shown himself to be a remarkable swordsman, able to go again the Dark Goblin and hold him off with little difficulty. He was also able to deliver a powerful sword strike that sent the Dark Goblin back into his capsule.
Hand-to-Hand Combat
While not exactly trained, Harry does have moderate hand-to-hand combat, which he falls back on when he doesn't have his sword. However, his skills are not as great as the Web Warriors, who use hand-to-hand combat more than actual weapons.
Equipment
Hobgoblin suit
The Hobgoblin suit is equipped with Adrian Toomes' sonic scream device, Harry's flame sword, an electrical glove, a laser wrist mount, and Oscorp bombs.
