The Green Goblin is character from the merchandise and toyline of Marvel's Spider-Man. Despite being the infamous villain alter-ego of Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin persona has never appeared in the series. Norman would eventually take on a new persona created for the show, the Dark Goblin, which is based on both the Green Goblin and Red Goblin identities.

Green Goblin was in a battle with Spider-Girl, before Spider-Man arrived to help her out. Their fight led them to the very theatre Green Goblin revealed that Oscorp set up with explosives. After retreating from the battle, an unoticed pumpkin bomb blew up Green Goblin's glider, but his later whereabouts are unknown.

  • Green Goblin's design is based on the one featured in Marvel Knights and Marvel Adventures.
  • Despite being featured in merchandise and a commercial for the series, the Green Goblin was never used.
  • In the comics and most other media, the Green Goblin is actually the super-villain alter ego of Norman Osborn.
    • In Marvel's Spider-Man, Norman actually became the Dark Goblin, a form that combines the designs of Green Goblin, Red Goblin, and the Earth-1610 Goblin from the Marvel Comics.
    • Throughout the first season, there were hints of Norman becoming the Green Goblin, specifically during The Rise of Doctor Octopus Part Four and The Hobgoblin Part Two.
    • In the actual series, Adrian Toomes became the Goblin King, another name the Green Goblin went by in the comics.
  • Green Goblin's toy is actually a reprint from the toyline of Ultimate Spider-Man vs The Sinister 6, despite that show featuring the Ultimate design of Green Goblin for the toys beforehand.
