In Spider-Man Unmasked, Gwen pulled Grady out of the way when the Rhino they assumed was Aleksei woke up and escaped Horizon High. Grady appreciated the favor, saying that he owed her his life. When Gwen said that she would settle for a smoothie and gave him a friendly fist bump to the shoulder, he smiled at her with admiration.[1]
In Maximum Venom, Grady realized he does have a crush on Gwen when setting up banners for the dance committee as a favor for her. Around the time of the dance, Grady asks Gwen to be his date by sending her a letter with his helper robot due to his shyness. Gwen accepts his invitation with a coy smile.[2]

Trivia[]
- The reason for Grady's drastic character redesign is because Nick Lombardo became the lead character designer for season 3, replacing Coran Stone.
- The redesign is also probably a reference to Otto Octavius and how Scott Menville voices both him and Grady.
- In School of Hard Knocks, Grady previously had freckles, but these facial features were not kept in his redesign for season 3.
- Many fans found it unnecessary for Grady to attend Horizon High during season 3. However, Grady has always been a member of Horizon Labs in the Marvel Comics.
- In the Marvel Comics, Grady was the most friendliest of Peter's co-workers at Horizon Labs similar to how Miles was Peter's most friendliest at Horizon High in the show.
