The Explorer is alien who was the first being other than Knull to bond with a symbiote, the second host to the Symbiote Sisters, and the host of All-Black before being killed by the elder of the explorer's species. Not much is know about her other than that she helped the symbiotes become a species after bringing the Symbiote Sisters back to her home planet to bond with her people.

- The explorer is the second person after Knull to have bonded to four symbiotes at once, before becoming the sole host of All-Black.
- Because she was still bonded to All-Black after the elder of her species attempting to slay the symbiote, Venom was also made from the remains of The Explorer when All-Black was sacraficed.
