Electro is a recurring villain in Marvel's Spider-Man. She first appeared in Bring on the Bad Guys Part Four.


Appearance[]

Physical appearance[]

Electro is a teenage girl with curly hair. Before being imprisoned she was seen wearing a suit that kept her electrical device from harming her.

As Electro (Energy Form)[]

In her energy form, Electro becomes a pure being of electrical energy.

Personality[]

Before even becoming Electro, she displayed a hyper-active personality that compliments her fondness of electricity.

Electro is also a fan of science like many others in New York.

Relationships[]

Spider-Man[]

Electro's interest in Spider-Man was only for the bounty placed on him by the Mystery Man. Her goal was to use the money to buy better equipment, but after her first defeat, she holds a strong grudge against him.

Spider-Girl and Ghost-Spider[]

Electro ambushed Spider-Girl and Ghost-Spider alongside her Electro-Goblins when the two Web-Warriors tracked the signal to her lair in an abandoned subway tunnel.

Spider-Girl claims that Electro must have a huge ego if she named the Electro-Goblins after herself.

Crossbones[]

While serving the Goblin Nation, Electro and Crossbones were allies until Electro made fun of the thought of Crossbone's actually defeating Spider-Man. This would lead into a rivalry where the two and their gangs turned on each other when they should have focusing on Spy-D, Spider-Girl, and Ghost-Spider. Eventually Crossbones defeated Electro by using a device invented by his War-Goblins to keep her from using her electrical powers.

Adrian Toomes/Goblin King[]

At some point Electro escaped The Cellar and joined Toomes' Goblin Nation.

Electro-Goblins[]

The Electro-Goblins are Electro's minions as a member of the Goblin Nation.

Electricity Physiology[]

After stealing the battery given to Spider-Man by Prowler, the harness on Electro's suit is overcharged with power and while electrocuting her, it somehow gave her the ability to turn her body into pure energy at her command. Whether or not Electro takes on this form she able to generate lighting attacks without the use of her suit.

  • This is the first animated appearance of Electro as a girl. Most of the fans believe that she’s an adaptation of Francine Frye but she is never referred to as such by any of the characters and the creators never confirmed it.
    • Her being African-American may also be a reference to the Electro from the 2014 film The Amazing Spider-Man 2
    • The original male Electro, Max Dillion, is used on the Marvel HQ website because of this Electro being created for Season 2.
    • Electro was designed by Jennifer Muro for The Bring on the Bad Guys story arc.[1]
  • The Max Dillion version of Electro appears in the Marvel Super Hero Adventures series, as both shows take place in different universes.
  • While Electro's electrical form can burn webbing upon contact, it appears that the more the webbing is layered it can hurt Electro before burning up.
