Trivia[]
- This is the first animated series in which Eddie Brock is not the same age or closer in age to Peter.
- It's possible Eddie was made an adult to tie-in to the Venom movie, which came out a few months after Eddie's debut in the series.
- The Untold Tales of Spider-Man, Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man and Marvel Action: Spider-Man comics would be the first, second, and third times respectively, to feature adult Eddie Brock and teenage Peter.
- Eddie Brock's appearance as Venom is similar to Mac Gargan's (Scorpion's) time as Venom in the comics.
- In contrast, while Flash was Venom he had the original design of Eddie Brock's Venom.
- This is the first Spider-Man series were Eddie loses the Venom symbiote without it being forced off of him or tricked into leaving him.
- In the episode Superior it willingly leaves Eddie in suspended animation once Miles passes by the Space Foundation with Peter's conscious in Doc-Ock's robotic tentacles.
- Before this revelation it was assumed that Eddie would be the main antagonist of Maximum Venom.
- It is unknown what happened to Eddie Brock during the events of Maximum Venom, for the only time he is referenced, is during "Generations" when Norman watched surveillance footage of Eddie (as Venom) fighting Spider-Man and gained the idea of using a symbiote to combat Spider-Man.
- It is possible that Eddie remained in a coma, as it is possible for coma victims to never recover from one in real life.
- Considering that the Space Administration, where Eddie was being held after his defeat in Venom Returns, was damaged in Vengeance of Venom during the symbiote invasion and that Eddie was nowhere to be seen in the building, it begs the question as to what happened to him during the events of Maximum Venom.
- Many fans assumed Eddie would have bonded to the Toxin symbiote like he did for a brief time in the Marvel Comics because of one of the Venom Burst toys from Hasbro's toyline resembling Eddie's form as Toxin.
