Carolyn Trainer is a former villain in Marvel's Spider-Man. Her only appearance has been in the episode Between an Ock and a Hard Place , where Doc-Ock took advantage of her admiration for him to make Spider-Man and anyone else less supicious of his experiments with the Neuro-Cortex and three Horizon High students.

Trainer had communicated with Doctor Octopus while he was incarcerated. She became obsessed with Octavius and conned her way into being imprisoned next to Octavius to meet him. Once Octavius got out of prison, she became his partner and was ordered to steal a bunch of crystals for his research. In reality, Octavius didn't need the crystals. Instead, he just needed Trainer to distract Spider-Man long enough for him to finish working on Horizon High's Neurocortex and gain psychic powers. Trainer was upset when she learned that Octavius was just using her and decided to aid Spider-Man in stopping Octavius. After Octavius' defeat, Spider-Man convinced Trainer that she could turn her life around and do good in the world.
