Ben Reilly is a character from the toyline of Marvel's Spider-Man. He is a clone of Peter Parker who joins him in fighting crime as the heroic Scarlet Spider.

Peter Parker's clone, Ben Reilly, suits up as Scarlet Spider and fights for good alongside Spider-Man.[1]
Appearance
Scarlet Spider wears a red spandex suit with a blue hoodie that he spray-painted a black spider symbol on to. Scarlet's web-shooters are worn on the outside of his costume and wear built for defense, similar to Black Widow's stingers.

Being Peter's clone, it's possible that Ben has his genius-level intellect.
Spider Physiology
As a clone of Peter, Ben posses the same powers he does.
- Wall-Crawling: Ben is capable of adhering to most if any surface is it vertical and horizontal and climb them with ease. This ability extends to the soles of his feet and the surface of his hands.
- Superhuman Strenght: Ben possesses the proportionate strength of a spider, granting him superhuman strength. Ben’s strength extends into his powerful leg muscles which allows him to leap heights and distances far beyond human capability.
- Superhuman Durability: The composition of Ben's skeleton, inter-connected tissues, and nervous system had all been enhanced. His bodily tissues are somewhat more durable and resistant to impact or trauma than an ordinary human, although he is certainly not invulnerable. While his body is tougher than an ordinary human, he can still be injured in ways comparable to an ordinary human.
- Superhuman Agility: Ben is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, despite their enhanced strength.
- Spider-Sense: Ben possesses an extrasensory ability of precognitive reflexive action that warns him of immediate danger through what he feels. Permitting him to act before the danger is in his periphery. This sensation is described as his entire body covered in goosebumps. However, Ben cannot detect symbiotes with his spider-sense.

Web-shooters
Ben's web-shooters are devices that rest on his wrist and allow him to shoot his webs. His web-shooters have a similar design to Black Widow's Stingers, allowing them to be used for both defense and offense.

- Ben is named after Ben Parker and May Parker, Reilly being May's maiden name.
- One of Peter's original designs for his proto-suit was a reference to Scarlet Spider's costume.
- In the comics, Ben Reilly is one of the many clones of Peter Parker created by the Jackal (Miles Warren in the comics). The Jackal blamed Spider-Man for the death Gwen Stacy, who in the comics was a student of his he had feelings for, and tested his methods for cloning on her's and Peter's blood samples. This is how Jackal found out Peter was Spider-Man in the comics.
- Like Miguel O' Hara, Ben only appears in the merchandise for Marvel's Spider-Man and not the actual television series.
- Ever since the Jackal was confirmed to appear in the series, many fans expected him to clone Peter at some point thus creating Scarlet Spider.
- It's possible Spider-Island was used instead of the Clone Saga, Scarlet Spider's debut, because of the previous series Ultimate Spider-Man already having adapted the story arc, and featured a different Ben Reilly, a year before Marvel's Spider-Man first aired.
- Patrick Brown's design for Scarlet Spider gives him eyes similar to Spider-Man, Spider-Girl, Ghost-Spider, and Spy-D. The artwork by Scott Johnson gives him his original eyes from the comics.
