Aleksei Sytsevich is a student at Horizon High and a friend of Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Anya Corazon, Gwen Stacy, and Harry Osborn. In A Day in the Life he was injected with a formula by Raymond Warren that turned him into The Rhino in Party Animals. In Take Two Otto Octavius cured him of his transformation.
Aleksei appears in Spider-Man Unmasked as one of the three Rhinos in the episode. He was kidnapped by Swarm and once again injected with the Jackel's Rhino formula. At the end of the episode, the Web-Warriors mention having cured him and the other two Rhino people along with the Spider-Monsters.

Anya and Aleksei are good friends. She was the first one to realize he was the Rhino monster at the dance party, and after being allowed access to him by his doctors spent every moment trying to cure him. After Doc-Ock cured his Rhino transformation she was the most excited to see him back to normal, giving him a hug of joy.
Gwen Stacy[]
Gwen and Aleksei are good friends. When he was transformed into a Rhino she, Harry, and Peter worked together to find a cure for him.
Harry Osborn[]
Harry and Aleksei are good friends. When he was transformed into a Rhino He, Gwen and Peter worked together to find a cure for him.
Peter Parker[]
Peter and Aleksei are good friends. Aleksei attended the party Peter (technically Miles) through at his home.
Max Modell[]
Max Modell is Aleksei's headmaster at Horizon.
Otto Octavius[]
Aleksei was grateful for Otto curing him of his Rhino transformation in Take Two. When Otto was reinstated back into Horizon, Aleksei stood up and clapped for him.

- This series marks the second time in which Aleksei Sytsevich is portrayed as a teenager, the first being in the previous series Ultimate Spider-Man.
- Despite being a teenager, not a villain, and a mutant rhino in the series, promotional artwork and merchandise features the comic book iteration of Aleksei, as an adult in an armored rhino suit.
- Ironically, the Rhino's in Spider-Man Unmasked, while they were still humans transformed into Rhino's, some aspects of the Rhino's design by Patrick Brown where incorporated. Notably, the spikes sticking from their shoulders.
- Going by those who Venom kidnapped in Venom Returns, Aleksei is not someone Peter considers a close friend.
- Max Mittelman, who voices Harry in this series, had previously provided the voice for Rhino in Ultimate Spider-Man.
